Having met in September 2020 at church, we went from being strangers to knowing each other from a distance, then developing a sweet, meaningful friendship, which eventually led to pursuing a romantic relationship. Shortly thereafter, we were both certain that we wanted to say “I do.” The journey from before we were dating to where we are now has been a winding, fun-filled adventure, wrapped as a beautiful gift of goodness from God.

What started as occasional conversations eventually led to Almiro becoming Vongai’s mechanic. One evening, as Almiro was servicing Vongai’s car, a deeper conversation sparked, which led to discussions about a book, shared interests, and eventually to dates at the beach, mini golf, movies, and Bible studies.

Here’s just a glimpse into some of the moments we’ve cherished in our story so far. We appreciate and feel blessed to have you as part of it. :)

The day Almiro showed Vongai a different view of the Gold Coast and took her on a joy flight. Also the day Vongai had confirmation of how much she trusted Almiro, and at this level of trust she thought she may as well marry him.

A lovely dinner with a walk on the beach, conversation filled with reminiscences of how God has grown us in love and has poured joy into our lives through each other and how its always a beautiful time when we are together even in some hard moments.

16 months later, Started the day as boyfriend and girlfriend and ended it as fiancé. Celebrated at the restaurant Almiro asked Vongai to be his girlfriend!
